Managing food and hunger settings can significantly affect your experience in the game. Whether you want to make survival more challenging or create a more relaxed experience for your community, adjusting these settings lets you customize how important food and hunger are during gameplay. In this guide, we’ll show you how to configure the food and hunger settings on your Enshrouded server. We’ll also cover the available options and explain how different settings can affect gameplay so that you can find the right balance for your server and playstyle.
Adjusting Food and Hunger Settings
1. Log in to your Game Panel and navigate to your service.
2. Before making any modifications, stop the server from running by clicking the Stop button.
3. Navigate to the Configuration Files section.
4. Make sure the Difficulty Preset is set to Custom. This allows you to manually adjust the individual server settings, including the crafting speed.
(Note: Check the other difficulty options, as the custom preset will overwrite previous modifiers.)
5. The Enable Starving Debuff setting will change whether players are afflicted with starvation. When disabled, the debuff will not be applied.
6. The Hungry State Duration setting determines the amount of time, measured in nanoseconds, that players remain in the hungry state before starvation takes effect.
Adjusting this value allows you to control how quickly players progress from hunger to starvation.
7. The Food Buff Duration setting determines how long food buffs remain active on players. This setting uses a percentage-based value, which acts as a multiplier on the default buff duration.
For example, setting the value to 2 will cause food buffs to last twice as long as their normal duration.
8. After editing, click the Save button to apply the changes.
