This article provides steps on how to update a Hytale server when a fatal error occurs.
During the update process, the server stops and shows the following error:
error printing version: error fetching server manifest: could not get signed URL for manifest:could not get signed URL:HTTP status: 403 ForbiddenThis error indicates that your Hytale server is no longer authenticated.
When the authentication token expires, the auto-updater is unable to access the server manifest, which results in a 403 Forbidden error.
This is expected behavior and is not caused by mods, server files, or corruption.
How to Fix the Issue
1. Make sure the server is fully stopped.
2. Open your server Web Console.
3. Follow the reauthentication guide here:
https://citadelservers.com/client/knowledgebase/1155/Hytale-Authentication-Guide.html.
4. Once authentication is completed, start the server again.
5. Run the update process once more.
